Description

Our Swift Angled Paint Brush is made with long filaments presented at an angle to allow for smooth release into tight corners with precision and additionally have extra-long handles to give a good balance for the user as well as giving you that extra reach.

At Pioneer, we design and control the production of filaments. For those angled paint brushes to be used with thicker paints, we prefer filaments with stiffer properties ( polyester PET) and wider diameters. This gives the brush a smoother action when working with either low or high viscosity paints such as oils, stains, acrylics, latex, or thinners. As with all Technofil® mixtures, whether soft or stiff, the shorter filaments are shaped to pick up paint whilst the longer ones are flagged to give smooth coverage without paint “tramlines”.

Brush heads are handmade and combed up to ensure straightness before gluing. The gluing process is carefully controlled. We glue all brush heads over the ferrule ribs thereby providing a double lock that is then locked again during assembly. Once the heads are glued and the resin is properly set, they are finally cleaned out with brush filaments being sanded, carded and flagged just prior to steaming to shape, ensuring that the brush will maintain a perfect shape for precision painting throughout its lifetime.

Our handles are made with hard wood birch from FSC Managed forests which has been left to stabilize and is then kiln dried in our ovens to reduce humidity. After this the wood is then cut to size and formed before being smoothed and polished with matt wax to seal the handle ensuring stability over the lifetime of the brush. Our handles will keep it original shape and not warp or bend.

The Swift Angled Paint Brush is available in 1 ½”, 2”, 2 ½” sizes and is intended for indoor painting.
