Spirit Angled Soft Finish Paint Brush

Description

Our Spirit Angled Soft Finish Paint Brush is made with sustainable hard wood birch which has been certified by the FSC. This means the wood used for our handles are only sourced from forest that are environmentally conscious.

The wood is weathered and kiln dried in our metal ovens to reduce the humidity which helps to stabilize the wood. the wood is then cut to shape and size before being smoothed and sealed with wax. this ensures that the handle doesn’t warp or bend.

The Angled Soft Finish Paint Brush is made with long filaments shaped at an angle to allow for smooth release into difficult  corners with control and have extra-long handles to allow a good balance for the user.

Brush heads are made by hand weighing each filament knot individually to ensure good resin penetration and are combed up to give straightness before gluing. All of our gluing is done in temperature controlled rooms to ensure stability. The second ferrule rib acts as an anchor and our resin is set at that point and neve underneath. This provides the first of a double lock that is then locked again during assembly.

Once the heads have been glued and the resin is properly set, they are then cleaned out by using machinery that can also sand, card and flag. The final step is to steam to shape, which ensures that the brush will maintain a tapered profile for precision painting throughout its lifetime.

The soft formulation works well with thinner paints such as oil-based paints.

The Angled Soft Finish Paint Brush is available in 1 ½”, 2”, 2 ½”, 3”.
