Description

Our Chalk Paint Brush Top Coat is developed for use with chalk paints as a top coat wax applicator. The brush is made of stiff natural bristles and a synthetic filament mix which is ideal for applying a wax top coat. The brush is oval shaped which allows the decorator to easily drag the wax across all surfaces. The handles are made of FSC certified beech wood sourced from sustainable forests that are responsibly managed and environmentally  conscious. The brush head is secured with a stainless steel ferrule to protect against rust and maintain the integrity of the brush.

This brush is available in 1 1/2 and 2 inch sizes and has a high fill content, a perfect addition to your toolkit.

How to use a chalk paint brush:

Chalk paint is used directly on any surface without the need to prime or to sand. It is a very time efficient method of painting and ideal for bringing new life to old furniture, or wood cabinets and doors.

Applying chalk paint to furniture, wooden cabinets or doors is a two-step process. First you need to apply a base coat in your desired color using a chalk paint base coat brush and allow it to dry for 2 to 3 hours. The second step involves applying a wax top coat with a chalk paint top coat brush. The wax top coat seals in the color and protects the surface that has been painted. This technique is very simple and effective and has become increasingly popular for decorators.
